Numerous parking garages surround NYU Medical Center, including one located at 400 East 34th Street and one at 530 First Avenue. Visitors may also leave their cars with the Valet Parking Service located on First Avenue in front of the main entrance to Tisch Hospital.

Numerous restaurants are within walking distance from NYU Medical Center and most provide delivery free of charge. On the pediatric unit, a menu book is located at the nurse's station for those families interested in ordering out for themselves or their child.

The Number 6 is the nearest subway station, located on Park Avenue between 33rd and 34th street, approximately a 4 block walk from the medical center.

The M34 and M16 travel across town with stops on 2nd or 1st avenue at 34th street. The M42 travels across town on 42nd street from Grand Central Station. The M15 travels south on 2nd Ave. and north on 1st Ave. with stops between 33rd and 34th street.
