Access Through Medical Interpreter and Language Services: Research Findings and Recommendations, 1997. ($7.50)

This report is designed to stimulate discussion, information sharing, and program development to enhance the ability of limited and non-English speaking persons to obtain quality health care services. It also includes an overview of legal mandates and survey findings of interpreter models in several states.


Cross-Cultural Care Giving in Maternal and Child Health: A Trainer's Manual, 1995. ($27.50)

This training manual will equip the trainer with the knowledge and techniques to conduct immigrant health training sessions for maternal and child health care providers. Predictors of Breast-feeding Intent and Behavior in Immigrant Women: Implication for Program Planning.($7.50)

This study evaluates the importance of social support prior to and after delivery on immigrant women's breastfeeding rates. The identification of factors that promote or impede the initiation and the maintenance of preventive health practices can help in designing more effective breastfeeding programs.
