The Office of Communications and Public Affairs

The Office of Communications and Public Affairs is responsible for developing and disseminating the strategic messages of NYU Medical Center to internal and external audiences, and for gathering the stories that need to be told.   The Office is organized around the following professional skill sets:

• Publications:  producing the Medical Center’s two print periodicals (NYU Physician and  News & Views), and other strategic institutional materials;
• Media Relations: ensuring the visibility of NYUMC experts, pitching NYUMC stories to the press, handling crisis communications, publicizing Medical Center events;    
• Communications: keeping the Medical Center community informed, providing support for major cross-functional initiatives, assisting individual departments (e.g., for brochures);
• Marketing and Advertising: utilizing industry standard marketing practices and compelling creative content to increase NYUMC visibility, as well as serving as a central resource to NYUMC service lines and departments.
