The NYU Center for the Study of Asian American Health and the NYU Asian/Pacific/American Studies Program and Institute will begin a continuing symposium addressing the roles and responsibilities of relief efforts in the regions affected by the 2004 tsunami. We will present an examination of the social and political impact, as well as a discussion of the relief efforts and long-term goals of contributing organizations.
