A Message from Veterinary Services….
Please be conscious of mouse cage populations. The "IACUC Policy for Maintaining Mouse Cage Populations" is available to you at this link http://www.med.nyu.edu/dlar/policies/mousedensity.html. It is the researcher's responsibility to make sure cages are not overcrowded. DLAR Veterinary Technicians will only send emails when cages are grossly overcrowded. Please do not wait for cages to be flagged. Accurate record keeping and knowledge of mouse breeding techniques will help you identify cages that will need to be separated. A dialogue with the Veterinary Technicians will also help avoid unnecessary charges for non-compliance. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact DLAR Veterinary Services at MSB 185 or email: williv01@med.nyu.edu
