The Significance and Reliability of the House and Brackmann Grading System for Regional Facial Nerve Function

Purpose of the Study
You are being asked to volunteer in a research study. You will read a consent/authorization form that includes information about this study. The purpose of this study is to review variations in physician rating when using the House and Brackmann Grading System for facial nerve functioning. You are being asked to participate in this study because you are a physician who routinely evaluates facial nerve functioning.
Instructions
For each patient, please refer to the video and rating scale. Give a rating from 1-6 based on the movement of the forehead, eye, midface, and mouth using the "regional scale". Then give a rating (1 number) for the entire face using the "global scale". Please do this for each patient listed. You may replay the movie as often as you need.
Please maintain the confidentiality of the patients participating by only allowing healthcare professionals to view this website.
