Shipping and Receiving of Biological Materials

   NYUMC Information

If you intend to ship or receive infectious materials, federal regulations require that you receive proper training in advance.  (Penalties for non-compliance with these regulations are severe.) If you ship or receive infectious materials on a regular basis, you must also attend refresher training every 2 years. You can meet the training requirement by completing the Self Study on Shipping and Receiving Biological Materials and forwarding the Post Test to Environmental Services.
