EPA AlertsThe United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) recently announced an initiative aimed at colleges and universities in Region 2, which includes the greater New York area. During the week of May 21, 2001, the EPA inspected NYU's Washington Square campus. At that time, they indicated their intention to conduct similar inspections at other NYU campuses in the near future. Environmental Services issued a series of alerts to ensure that laboratory personnel are knowledgeable about the expectations of the EPA.
