Used Vacuum Pump Oil

On their recent round of laboratory inspections, our consultants noticed some confusion in labs about the proper labeling and disposal of used vacuum pump oil. Containers of used vacuum pump oil must be labeled as Used Oil; they must not have a Hazardous Waste label. Though not regulated as hazardous waste, the used oil must be brought to our chemical waste vault for proper disposal.
