Student/College Internships*
The Harkness Center for Dance Injuries offers many educational experiences for college students. The Center regularly accepts students from many disciplines including exercise science, athletic training, kinesiology, pre-medicine and arts administration. In accordance with institutional guidelines, students must seek internship positions by application. Placement depends upon the student's academic background and type of internship sought. Interested students must be in the final half of their academic program or be recent graduates of an accredited program. Internships are offered for 4 to 26 week periods throughout the year.
Student internship activities include observation of our dance clinic and surgical cases; participation in the teaching of our injury prevention screenings and educational lectures; data collection/entry; execution of literature searches, and handling of research laboratory equipment.
