Patient Accommodations
NYU Medical Center offers semi-private, private, and deluxe rooms. Although
requests for a specific type of room cannot be guaranteed, every effort
is made to satisfy patients' requests.
Accommodations for Family
The International Services Program assists patients and their families in
finding the most appropriate short- and long-term housing. Special attention
is paid to their needs and preferences, including, of course, those related
to location and budget.
Among the more popular options are the Envoy Club, a full-service, luxury
extended-stay and corporate apartment facility that is immediately adjacent
to NYU Medical Center; and Greenberg Hall, a part of NYU Medical Center itself
that features moderately priced apartments.
NYU Medical Center maintains relationships with many hotels in and around
New York City, many of which provide discounted medical rates. The International
Services Program can also help family members arrange a stay at Leo House,
a local bed-and-breakfast.
NYU Medical Center also maintains relationships with several charitable
organizations that provide low-cost housing for individuals traveling to
New York City for medical care. Among these housing options is Ronald McDonald
House, a warm, friendly, and low-cost temporary residence for the parents
and siblings of young out-of-town patients.
