PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS
If this is your very
first time using the system, you will want to click on the words
“Click Here” next to the words “First Time Users” Do not attempt to fill in your name and e-mail boxes at this time.
After clicking the First Time Users line to request system access,
a page appears to assure you are SOLELY a PI as opposed to a PI who also
servers as a research reviewer.
(Reviewers include Directors of Service, Committee Members, etc.) Select
the appropriate designation: PI
ONLY or Reviewer/ PI.
If PI ONLY, a page will appear where you will enter your name and
an e-mail address and other basic information. You will then click on
“Submit”. The facility
research coordinator will assure you are authorized to use the system. When
authorized (typically within one day often quicker) you will receive a
temporary password sent to the e-mail address you entered into
the system
.
You will then complete your registration by going back to the URL
above, and, sign in using your e-mail address and temporary password. You will then be prompted to enter the
requested information in the appropriate spaces and to create a new, personalized
password.
You may then go on to create delegates whom you authorize to use
the application system on your behalf (e.g., Clinical Coordinators or
Co-PIs). This will give them access
to all the same material you can use and see. (The system will note whether it
is you or one of your delegates who filled out the form or took an action.)
If you are a Principal Investigator, please note that in order to
expedite review/approval of your study by the Bellevue Facility Research Review
Committee, your application for new and renewal protocols must be completed and
submitted electronically via ReASOn [Research
Application System Online] with all required documents attached. Documents are
preferred in PDF format (although
MS Word documents can also be attached).
REVIEWERS (NOT SOLELY A PI)
Reviewers must be pre-authorized and entered into the ReASOn system by the FRC PRIOR to a registration
attempt. If you are not sure
whether you are a reviewer or if you have been authorized, call one of the
Facility Research Coordinators at
