Michael H. Perskin, MD, is currently the Managing Partner of one of the largest multi-specialty medical groups in New York City. He is Chief of Geriatrics at Tisch Hospital, NYU Medical Center where he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine.

Dr. Perskin is a magna cum laude graduate of Brown University, where he also attended medical school. He trained in internal medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital, a Columbia affiliate, and completed a fellowship in Geriatrics at NYU during which he published his research on aging. After this he established a private practice while maintaining his academic and business commitments and interests.

As a founding member of a large multi-specialty internal medicine group, Dr. Perskin has succeeded in growing a physician organization despite adverse conditions n the local and national medical marketplace. He has continually expanded and improved the practice’s size and scope as the Managing Partner.  The practice is responsible for approximately 150,000 patients. Dr. Perskin has supervised the development of business systems and practice management systems for the 35 physicians and the 110 other employees.

Most recently, Dr. Perskin was tapped to develop the Geriatrics Service at Tisch Hospital. He has successfully implemented a multi-disciplinary service which is tasked with patient care, post-graduate medical education, quality improvement and research.  He is on the Executive Committee and Board of Managers of the 1000+ member University Physicians Network, a physician led organization based at NYU. Dr. Perskin also serves on the Executive Committee of the Division of General Internal Medicine at NYU Medical Center.
