Student Awards and Honors

Dr. Anthony Grieco, Associate Chair of the Department of Medicine for Education, announced that the NYU School of Medicine swept the student research poster competition at the American College of Physicians Downtown NY Scientific Meeting in March 2007.

The winners were:

Joshua Lader (class of 2008), First Place:“Refractory period changes and atrial fibrillation in the setting of hypertensive heart failure”

Christopher Chang (class of 2007), Second Place (Tie): “Localized radiation improves perfusion and vasularity in a novel model of ischemia”

Carrie Sharf (class of 2009), Second Place (Tie): “Regulation of CXC chemokines – radiation as a potent stimulus in human endothelial cells”
