The clinical activities of the NYU Division of Nephrology span the three major teaching hospitals — Tisch Hospital, Bellevue Hospital, and the Veterans Affairs Hospital — and recently expanded to include the Hospital for Joint Diseases.
Tisch Hospital
Provides hemodialysis treatments primarily to inpatients with acute and chronic renal failure.
Bellevue Hospital
Provides inpatient renal consultation service and dialysis treatment, outpatient hypertension and renal disease clinics, a special-care unit for end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients, hemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis and charcoal hemoperfusion for acute poisonings and chronic renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
Veterans Affairs Hospital
Center of Excellence that includes a Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) program.
