NYU Institute of Community Health and Research

The NYU Institute of Community Health and Research launched its Inaugural Website Sunday, April 1, 2007.

Visit the new ICHR website to learn about the programs, initiatives and community-based research projects of the Institute.

Founded in July 2006, the Institute partners with community-based organizations and healthcare entities. It identifies, characterizes, and alleviates health disparities affecting different communities.

The Institute leads research in:

• Cardiovascular Health
• Obesity and Metabolic Disease
• Chronic Infectious Diseases such as Hepatitis B
• Genomics and Oncogenesis

The Institute houses various distinct Centers of research, education, and training which currently include:

• The Center for the Health of the African Diaspora
  
• The Center for the Study of Asian American Health
  
• The Center for Latino Health
  
• The Center for Health and Human Rights
