Laboratories

At NYU Medical Center there is approximately 12,000 square feet of laboratory space fully equipped for the study of cellular biology and the biochemistry of mediators of inflammation. Facilities include high performance liquid chromatography, two-dimensional gel electrophoresis, and electron microscopy.

At the Hospital for Joint Diseases there is approximately 7,800 square feet of laboratory space fully equipped for nearly all types of studies in cell biology, genetics, and molecular biology. Facilities range from cryostats through a gas phase protein sequencer and a fluorescence-activated cell sorter FACS IV. There is an active laboratory oriented to uncovering mechanisms of disease association.
