Dr. Weiner received the 1996 Van Wagenen Fellowship from the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the 'Rhodes Scholarship' of neurosurgery, to spend 6 months in the laboratory of Professor Nicole Le Douarin, in Paris, studying the biology of brain development. In collaboration with the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, Dr. Weiner has had an extensive experience with the surgical treatment of medically refractory pediatric epilepsy. He has an NIH funded laboratory that is investigating brain development, molecular signaling pathways in pediatric brain tumors, and Tuberous Sclerosis. He has over 60 publications to date.
David H. Harter, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Pediatrics at NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Harter joined the Division in 2005. He was previously the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine.
