Greetings from the Program Director
Dear Prospective Applicant,
Thank you for taking the time to access our website. Our residency program
at NYU, which is fully accredited by the ACGME, has been in existence since
1973. During these past 30 years, we have trained medical school graduates
to become skillful practitioners in the field of radiation oncology and encouraged
their development as caring and compassionate physicians. Our department
continues to embrace the triad of research, education and patient care, and
our commitment to resident education is greater than ever. Our large urban
university environment allows a broad range of clinical experience while
also providing structured coursework in radiobiology, physics and statistics.
Time is provided for the numerous teaching conferences and tumor boards that
are held within the department and throughout the medical center.
Details of our program are available within this website for
persons interested in pursuing what we feel is an excellent graduate
medical education. Please do not hesitate to
contact us if we can be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Ashwatha Narayana, M.D. Associate Professor, Director
