Siemens Corporation Engineers a Little Fun for Kids at Rusk
As a new quarterly program with the children and teens, Cem Gunesen, the Public Affairs Program Coordinator for Siemen’s Corporation brings an engineer to the Rusk pediatric unit to educate the kids about basic engineering principles and then conducts fun activities to demonstrate what they’ve learned first hand. The first activity involved building a city out of food supplies. The second challenged the kids to design “raw egg protective devices” which were then tested (see photos). At the end of each visit all of the kids get a certificate of participation and other goodies generously provided by Siemens.
