Herb Zaretsky, Ph.D., Clinical Professor and Administrator, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, and Edwin F. Richter, M.D., Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, recently co-edited the 3rd edition of the book entitled "Medical Aspects of Disability: A Handbook for the Rehabilitation Professional" (Springer Publishing Company, 2005). This new edition is an updated, comprehensive resource as both a textbook and reference guide, to inform and assist graduate and undergraduate students training in the rehabilitation professions, as well as clinical practitioners, about the most current information on the etiology and clinical symptoms of a wide variety of medical and disabling conditions. Experts from many professions and specialties, including several authors from the senior professional staff at Rusk and NYU School of Medicine, have contributed to the book's content that covers clinical, functional, psychological and vocational perspectives, and clinical symptoms of many different disabling conditions and disorders.
