Up to nine graduate speech-language pathology students per year are provided externship training during their last semester of graduate work for twelve-week training periods. Externship candidates are selected on the basis of their academic record and particular interest in the neurogenic communicative disorders. Students have participated in the clinical training program from many universities, including Vanderbilt University, New York University, Columbia University, Purdue University, University of South Carolina, Northern Arizona University, and Ohio University.
