FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

  • Bridge Funding – The bridge funding program has been reactivated and the summer 2005 application process has been announced. The purpose of the Research Bridging Support Fund is to provide interim support for productive faculty who have experienced, or are about to experience, a lapse in extramural grant support. It is hoped that these funds will serve as a bridge to a successful resubmission. The Bridging Fund supports research activities that will directly contribute to a more competitive grant submission, such as:

    • acquire data to meet recommendations of extramural reviewers

    • complete work needed for the "preliminary results" section

    • demonstrate successful use of methods, technology, or instrumentation.

The deadline to apply for bridge funding is July 26th. Please contact Farooq Niazi (x3-3546) or Aleta Gunsul (X3-6695) with any questions.
