SPA EVENTS
Electronic Grant
Submission Presentation
As you are aware, in December 2005, the NIH
began the transition from paper submission of grant applications
to electronic submission via Grants.gov. In response to NIH’s
initiative, SPA has begun implementing an electronic system-to-system
data transfer approach using the InfoEd application for submission
of grant applications directly to Grants.gov and the NIH.
This approach will effectively eliminate tedious
and redundant form preparation steps, ensure the application is
administratively complete and correct, as well as allow for a more
streamlined and user-friendly experience throughout the research
community.
SPA held a presentation on August 15th to update
the research community of our on-going efforts including an overview
of the electronic grant submission process and provided a short
demo of the InfoEd application.
