The "PHS Policy on Instruction in the
Responsible Conduct of Research" announced on December 5, 2000 (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-01-007.html)
has been suspended by the Office of Research
Integrity in response to concerns raised by a Congressional inquiry
on February 5, 2001. Notice of the suspension was posted on the
ORI web site February 20, 2001 and submitted for publication in
the Federal Register. ORI is reviewing the policy once again [February
26, 2001].
