One of the best ways to help fight cancer, assist doctors and support cancer patients right now is through a financial donation to the NYU Division of Surgical Oncology Development Fund.
Because of your support, the Division of Surgical Oncology is able to continue its mission to eradicate cancer through research, exemplary clinical care, and the education of the physicians of the future.
You are helping a team of clinicians and scientists who are leaders in their fields and have dedicated themselves to providing the best in clinical cancer care, expanding our understanding of cancer and its treatments, and educating other physicians, scientists and members of the community in the hopes of making cancer a disease of the past.
Our Research
Thanks to the help of concerned individuals like you, the Division of Surgical Oncology is able to attack the problem of cancer from several different directions. We are studying the use of biologic markers to define patients who are at very high risk of cancer and may benefit from preventative interventions. We are studying how tumors invade surrounding tissues and spread to other organs. This research will lead to the identification of molecular targets for biologic therapies, or so-called “smart drugs” that will treat cancers in less toxic ways. We continue to look for less invasive ways to care for cancer patients. Further we continually study how our treatments impact our patients’ lives and well-being and try to understand the risk factors for the development of cancer. Your contribution will help us expand our research efforts. Please consider supporting the Division of Surgical Oncology today.

The Division of Surgical Oncology offers you the opportunity to receive permanent recognition while contributing to the fight against cancer, a kind of immortality that can be achieved in no other way.
